I studied Sports and Human Rehabilitation BSc (Hons) in Carlow IT. While completing my degree in ‘Sports Rehabilitation ‘, I also completed the NCEF (National Certificate in Exercise and Fitness) qualification with UL to be a qualified fitness instructors. This was done as an extra ciricular course. Personally I think this was a huge benefit in understanding and prescribing exercises for clients. From here I went straight into employment working in a clinic part time and worked alongside soccer and GAA teams.

During my final semester of college I saw first hand the benefits of Pilates so once I finished in Carlow IT, I went on and studied to be a Pilates instructor with Bodyfirm Pilates. This extra skill and knowledge gave me the opportunity to get work in a busy Pilates studio and injury clinic in Co. Wicklow. The experience I gained here was second to none and allowed me to ‘hit the ground running’ when I moved to Co. Clare back in 2011. I built my client base and business from the ground up.

Since moving to Clare, I’ve played a little football but my main interest has been my Pilates and resistance training whether it’s body weight, TRX or Kettlebells. I’ve also continued my up-skilling so that has always kept me busy too.
Since becoming a qualified fitness instructor I have become certified in the following; spin, rip:60 (suspension training with rotation) and Kettlebells.

Along with being a certified Pilates Mat 1,2 and 3 instructor I’ve also completed Pilates Reformer 1 and 2 qualifications along with many workshops. Some of those workshops include; Pilates for runners, pre- and post natal Pilates, Pilates for golfers and Pilates with equipment to name a few.

Additional clinician courses include; Kinesio Taping®, Chineese Vacuum Cupping, Dry Needling, Mulligan Techniques, AiM (Anatomy in Motion) and Fascial Therapy to name a few.

From Galway originally I discovered Reformer Pilates 12 ago and found it to be an excellent form of exercise especially post natal.

I’ve always been into fitness and health and was previously an avid horse rider. Following a career as a Veterinary Nurse, a move to Clare and some time off to raise my kids I qualified as a Health Coach with IINH in 2015 and in 2016 after rediscovering  Reformer Pilates ( having tried every other fitness craze ) I decided to study the Stott Pilates method and get qualified as both a Reformer and Mat Instructor. I recently completed an intensive Injuries and Special Populations course to acquire the skills required to address a broad range of physical challenges among our clients.

I’m truly passionate about watching clients improving their body awareness, health and over all fitness.
