MAT
PILATES

“Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness”, Joseph Pilates

Pilates aim is to help activate your deep ‘core’ muscles. When the term ‘core’ is used, I am talking about the deep muscles that attach vertebrae to vertebrae in the spine along with attaching to the shoulder and pelvic girdle. They are small muscles that should be working constantly throughout the day while we go about our daily activities. Unfortunately this is not the case for everyone and everyday tasks (sitting, standing ,walking) may cause discomfort/pain.
